Author: pandjparker Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/15874.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Actually your David Parker married Sarah Jane nee Best in 1868, if I may finish your sentence. I can share the two alternate family histories I have, one on James H. Parker and his son David, the other on Ephraim Parker and HIS son David who actually did marry Sara Jane Best who had been married before. I do not know, but you might know, whether James and Ephraim were brothers or cousins? I believe they were one or the other, maybe even twin brothers both born 1810 but they moved apart and lived in different parts of the country as adults. Please advise if any of this is familiar. I believe you have the family histories of the two men mixed up. I cannot confirm so far if these Parkers are part of FG#7, but based on their Hertford origins, it is certainly possible. Author: hiho2go Surnames: Parker, Howard, Daniels Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/15875/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi - I have been helping my dad sort and identify a large amount of photos, many dating from 1850's - 1920's. Unfortunately most of them are not identified. Some of them may be from my Daniels-Parker line: Stephen T. Parker, born in Indiana, lived in La Salle and Lee counties, Illinois, died during the Civil War. His wife, Mary Margaret Daniels, d. 1894 in La Salle county, Illinois. Their daughter, Anna Victoria Parker, who married Nels Howard, immigrated from Sweden, in 1875. If you'd like to take a look to see if you recognize anyone, I have attached them to a person named "Unknown Photo" in my Howard Family Tree (view my profile, click "Howard Family Tree" and search for "Unknown Photo") As of this posting, I have uploaded 26 photos. I have more to scan and will be uploading them soon. Any help will be appreciated! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. Re: [PARKER] Parker's in Texas, Mississippi
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: pandjparker Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/15838.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Very little turns up yet about William H. Parker, but his son Ores Eugene Parker was born 1898 somewhere in Texas. In 1900, Wm. was working for the Hensley family as a farm laborer in Oklahoma, Chickasaw Indian Territory. Since the boy Ores was a baby, it is likely that the Hensleys cared for him when small. Ores Eugene married Lillie Lankford of Quinlan, Hunt Co. Texas by 1918 and lived with her family. He filed Selective Service papers in Hunt Co. TX that year as a married man. The Loyd Hensley family from Chickasaw either was from or went back to (maybe both) several counties in Indiana, and Ores E. listed Indiana as a residence when he applied for his Social Security card after 1933. His father's earlier employment with a Hensley family noted above may explain how/why Ores was in Indiana with them, or there was a family connection that was not reflected on the census record. Although I did not find documents that showed it, it is possible that Ores E. Parker was later in some branch of the service or the government, perhaps as a career. His last residence was in Silver Springs, Maryland. He died August 1967. If these bits lead you to other data which might help in this research, please advise at jandpparker@msn.com. I research Parkers of many bloodlines for fun and for free. If I have sent this information to you before and it does not apply to your people, please ignore. I do not think that the Ores Parker line is related to my Parker family. Patricia Ross Parker, FG#7 researcher Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: joanetta4 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/4531.5399/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Parker Family of Greenville, North Carolina & Wilson, North Carolina. EditDelete joanetta4 (View posts) Posted: 11 Mar 2012 9:36PM Classification: Query Surnames: Parker, Peaden, Battle I'm looking to validate the Parker family I believe my lineage started from. The following are the list of names, locations, birth dates, marriage dates, that I am currently aware of: John Parker b. about 1815-1820 in North Carolina. I'd like to know who his parents were, did he have siblings, did his parents have siblings. I'd like to know where and when he died and the same for his parents. I'd like to know if he was born into slavery or as a freedman. John Parker married Piety Peaden in about 1836 ( -5years). This union produced 4 children, 2 daughters Sarah and Esther and 2 sons Green and Caesar. John Parker's father may have been named Noah and his mother may have been Martha Battle. My great grandfather is Caesar Parker born in Wilson, North Carolina 1861. He married Judy Newton and migrated to Arkansas, where he purchased several acres of land and began farming and where he lived until his death in 1940. They had eight (8) children. Do you have any records related to the Parker's I've listed above? I can be reached here on ancestry at joanett4 or by email at joanie1968@gmail.com Sincerely Attachments: Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
