I've had some Parker matches; however, the data is sketchy so far. I printed the DNA results from family group #7 earlier, and I've had another match to that line which I can't verify yet. This is the first time I was matched to a Matthew (I was matched previously to Jacob b. 1753/58 in Edgecombe). I'll check out Parker Heritage again. Thanks very much! I just had a DNA match (4th-6th cousin) with someone else who listed Matthew E Parker in their line. I haven't confirmed their information, but some of the family names are similar. I noticed that his father was shown to come from North Carolina in the 1880 census, and I can confirm my line back to William G Parker born in Edgecombe, NC in 1803. William's gravestone confirms that his birthplace is Edgecombe, NC, but he headed to Mississippi & Texas. I haven't been able to identify William's parents either, but the DNA suggests that there might be a link. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: SBrownDavis Surnames: Parker Nall Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/9405.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: In addition, there is a Army enlistment papers for John Parker, says he was in born 1808 in Hawkins Co, Tennessee. Our Robert Nall, either an uncle or father to our Tapley White Nall, lived in Hawkins Co, Tennessee in 1810-1840. So, it could be that our Parker, IF this is the same John Parker, living in 1830 next to my Margaret and Tapley Nalls, possibly lived in Hawkins Co, Tennessee around 1808-1810. George Parker was married in 1835 Williamson, which is in the middle of Tennessee, whereas Hawkins Co, TN is more in the NE part of Tenn. But, it seems they moved around a lot...so anything is possible. My Nall family was originally from Orange Co, VA to Surry/Wilkes Co, NC then to Grainger Co, TN (next to Hawkins Co, TN). Hope this helps. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: SBrownDavis Surnames: Parker Nall Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/9405.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Margaret Ann Parker is my ancestor, she was married to Tapley White Nall. On the 1830 St. Clair Co, Alabama Census, they are living next door to John Parker. John Parker, Margaret's brother, eventually also moves to Sevier Co, Arkansas. Margaret died in Howard Co, Arkasas, the same place that you have listed for Peter Hiram Parker and his wife died as well. Margaret Parker's husband, Tapley Nall died abt 1852 in Cherokee Co, Alabama, and Margaret then moved to Sevier Co, Arkansas, where she married second husband James Briscoe, and had two children with him. Peter "Hiram" (listed as P.H. Parker on one Census and Hiram Parker on another), named one of his sons Irving Parker. George Parker who married Elizabeth Scott (who married in Williamson Co, Tennessee), also named one of his sons, Irving Parker, and they lived in Cherokee Co, Alabama as well prior to moving to Montgomery Co, Alabama. The 1850 Cherokee Co, Alabama is of importance, because this is the Census where H! iram Parker, George Parker, John Parker, and their sister Margaret Ann Parker Nalls/Naltz were living prior to moving to the Sevier Co, Arkansas/Montgomery Co, Arkansas area by 1860. Would love any input you have regarding the Parker family. On the 1830 St. Clair Co, Alabama Census, I am trying to figure out if the John Parker listed is the father or the brother to my Margaret Parker Nalls, as their is an OLDER male in the home, as well as a younger male and his younger wife. I also cannot determine if it says John Parker, Sr or John Parker, Jr. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
