    1. [PARKER-L] A. P. PARKER, of Kentucky, born in 1834
    2. Fireskye
    3. A. P. PARKER, farmer, Section 17, P. O. Savonburg, is a native of Kentucky, born in 1834. In 1854 he took a trip to California, where he stayed till 1869, returning to Ohio July 3, of that year. In 1870 he started again for California, but getting to Kansas, thought he would go into the stock business, so, with a pard nave Priest, he located on his present claim on the old Fort Scott & Mission road, taking 160 acres each. They put up a cabin, but gave the idea of a stock ranch, but they dissolved and Mr. Parker then did little but hunt, until the summer of 1871, when he settled to his work, breaking and planting, setting orchards and shade trees, which have made a wonderful growth since. He now farms 240 acres in grain and stock, having three and one-half foot hog-tight hedge fence about 115 acres of the farm, besides corrals for 300 head of cattle. His corn turned out 3,000 bushels from sixty acres in 1882. In 1872, Mr. Parker married Miss Murray. They have three girls and one boy. Mr. P. has been Justice of the Peace since 1877 and is a member of the Masonic order. http://www.kancoll.org/books/cutler/neosho/neosho-co-p16.html#GRANT_TOWNSHIP

    1. [PARKER-L] JAMES PARKER, of Cincinnati, Ohio, born in 1822
    2. Fireskye
    3. JAMES PARKER, farmer, Section 5, P. O. Walnut, native of Cincinnati, Ohio, born in 1822. Mr. Parker was the first settler in this part of Flat Rock Creek, coming to his present location in September, 1865. If it had not been his fixed determination to make himself a home he would have returned to the East, for he lost his first crop and his family were in want. He went to Uniontown to Mr. Foster, getting a job of freighting goods from Kansas City down. This he took out in provisions for his family before starting himself, making the first wagon track across the broad prairies. He sees in 1883 well defined roads and substantial buildings on every side, and by hard work now has a fine home and well improved farm, raising grain and stock. Mr. Parker has been married twice, the last time in 1880 to Miss Lookingbill. By the first he had three boys and two girls. http://www.kancoll.org/books/cutler/neosho/neosho-co-p9.html

    2. I have gotten rid of that virus. Norton ran a clean slate for me. I did all that I was told to do and checked in three different places to have it removed and after their scan, my computer came up clean. I will never download again onto my hard drive. Thanks to everyone who sent me messages telling me what to do. And especially from Dave who gave me that website to check, Will check every once in a while also, Dave. Thanks again to all. Pat in FL

    1. [PARKER-L] virus
    2. If you receive anything from freeman6@flash.net don't open. I got a virus from him. It is now taken care of but the idea that this is the kind of people here invading our lists to cause trouble. I returned his message to him. If he is unaware that he is doing this then I am sorry. However the attachment cannot be deleted but has to be removed at a cost. Even though I have Norton, they could not assess it. Neither can I. So I don't know what he sent. My is a Trojan named PSW Hooker It is listed as PIZS ZIP scr. So beware and don't fall for this. I do not download anything from those that I don't know. But I have been waiting for a long time for info on these people and it was on our Parker list. So I fell for his scheme. That is the first time. If he did this intentionally than I shall pray for his soul for he is out to hurt and damage people and their property. And it is said THOU SHALT NOT STEAL. May God have mercy on you and that you will repent of your evil ways. Pat in FL

    2. Jay & Carol Menges
    3. To help an Irish friend find his great-grandmother, I subscribed to this list and am making this query. Mary Lavinia (maiden surname unknown) married Fred PARKER in England. She had probably grown up somewhere in the State of New York, USA. Does she look familiar to anyone? Please excuse me if I'm posting to the wrong list. I joined the other PARKER list as well but neither the welcome letters nor the webpages for the mailing lists specify exactly what's required on them, other than PARKER research. I'll post this to the other list as well so to cover the bases for my friend. --Thanks! Carol (Huffington) Menges

    1. [PARKER-L] Richard Parker of Albemarle, Surry County, Virginia
    2. Kaitlin-Kathleen Sisson
    3. I am hoping that someone on this list can direct me regarding a recently found ancestor, Richard Parker of Surry County, VA. His will is dated April 3, 1744 in said county. His daughter Hannah married my direct ancestor, Thomas Sisson. Hannah was previously married to John Raines of same county. My problem is that there are several Richard Parkers in VA at this time and I am trying to sort out who is who and where to go from there. Does anyone know the difference in these Parker families? Is there a relationship to the Parkers of Nanesemond County, VA? Thanks for any direction on this.
