Does anyone have a Mahitable, or any verreation of the spelling, (first name) female who married a Mr. Parker? I'm looking for a Mahitable Parker, age 82 in the 1860 census for Sparta township, Crawford co, Pennsylvania. Her birth place was listed as New York year 1778. Mahitable was living with a James Parker age 39 Penn and family of: Betsey wife age 34 Penn, Warren son age 7 Penn, Emily daughter age 4 Penn, and William son age 1 New York. I think James Parker's family went back to New York in 1858 or 59 to get Mahitable Parker (possible after her husband died) and William Parker was born while they were their. The family then went back to Sparta, Crawford co, Penn in time for the 1860 census. Can anyone help with Mahitable? Rita

Many of my genealogy friends in Tennessee suggested I contact these lists, that Tennessee was rich with Parkers. Would appreciate any help. I have been searching my Parkers for a while now but just can't seem to get past Memphis, Tn. orphanages and Board of Education with them. I strongly believe my Parkers lived in Madison, Hardeman, Gibson , Tipton and Shelby County TN. mid 1800s to abt 1930. I suspect and some evidence points their migration in TN. to Madison Co.,Lake Co.,Kerrville, near Millington TN. Shelby Co., north of Memphis around 1910-1920. My uncle William (Bill) was a baker/butcher for the Montesi Food Stores in Memphis before his death sometime between 1960 and 1980. There were four boys, Robert H. who lived in Pueblo, Co. 1950s, Luther L. who lived near Dallas, Tx. 1960s & 70s, William who lived near Memphis and Paul C. who died in Memphis 1983, and one girl Anne Ruth that also lived in Memphis, Tn. The mother was LuEmma Jane Kuykendall and father William Albert Parker. My father Paul C. and mother Ruby Lee married in Marion Co., AR. abt 1940 and dad gave an address on his reenlistment papers for the Marines as RR2 Arlington Rd., Little Rock ,AR. 1948. Seems part of the family moved to AR. The names Robert, William are prevalent in this line, dads children from his second marriage also had these names. What data I have, I will gladly share. Hope there is something of interest. 1 Robert William Parker or William H. WILLIAM ALBERT2(Bud) PARKER (ROBERT WILLIAM1) was born 1897 in Tennessee, He married LUEMMA JANE KUYKENDALL in West Tn, daughter of JOHN C. KUYKENDALL and MARY F. EUBANKS. Luemma was born December 01, 1889 or 91 in Tennessee, and died September 10, 1926 Burial: September 13, 1926, Millington, Tennessee, Potters Field. Children of WILLIAM PARKER and LUEMMA KUYKENDALL are: i. LUTHER PARKER. ii. ROBERT PARKER. iii. WILLIAM PARKER. iv. ANNIE RUTH PARKER, b. January 29, 1918, Memphis, Tn.; d. July 14, 1991, Memphis, Tennessee; v. PAUL CHESTER3 PARKER was born January 30, 1920 in Millington, Tennessee, and died December 18, 1983 in Memphis, Tennessee. He married (1) RUBY LEE BULLOCK 1940 in Marion County, AR. daughter of THOMAS BULLOCK and DORA HYCHE. She was born November 20, 1923 in Cordova, Benoit Camp, Alabama, and died August 21, 1998 in West Memphis, Arkansas. Was told that Robert H. Parker ran away from a Memphis Orphanage, lived with his granparents in Jackson, Tn. where he met a family at the Calvary Baptist Church. They took him in and moved to Nashville, TN. 1930s. Thank You Bob Parker

I am looking for information on Howard Dillard Parker, b. 04 May 1892 in Ellis County, TX. Howard Parker d. 17 June 1960 in Dallas, TX. He was the son of B.F. Parker and Lou T. Snow, as listed on the death certificate. It is unknown what the initials of B. F. stand for in the name of B.F. Parker. Howard Dillard Parker married Mary Ella Jordan. Trying to find anyone with the Alexander Parker that Parkersburg, West Virginia was named after. Would like to know if he lived there and where his descendants ended up. Or I would be interested in any Parkers who lived in Wood County, WV. Anyone with George, Samuel J. or James Parker, early settlers of Shelby County, Missouri. There's also a Charlotte Parker, married to John B. Lewis of Shelby County, MO. They could have been there as early as 1832. Not sure where they came from, perhaps VA or KY. Wondering if they are connected to any from Parkersburg, Wood County, WV? Thanks, Chris Beck thebecks@ncn.net
