To explain more............this is what was on one of my lists: 3. How to change to from one mode to the other. There are two steps. First, send the command "unsubscribe", in the Message Block, (without the quotation marks) to the mode in which you are subscribed to discontinue that mode. Second, send the command "subscribe" in the Message Block, (without the quotation marks) to start receiving the other mode. You cannot subscribe in both modes using the same E-Mail address. Hi. The Robert Benjamin Parker that I have is my husband's grandfather. His father was Amos Parker. I haven't seen anything about TN. Amos was born 1849 in Zoar, Union Co, NC & died 1925 in Claxton (Hagan), Evans Co, GA. He was married (1868) to Margaret Susannah Nelson. She was born in 1850 in Zoar, Union Co, NC & died 1930 in Claxton (Hagan), Evans Co, GA. They are both buried in Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, Evans Co, GA. Robert Benjamin Parker was born in 1880 in Buford, Union Co, NC & died 1954 in Richmond Hill, Bryan Co, GA. He & his wife are also buried in Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, Evans Co, GA. As you can see, our Robert was born LONG after 1803. I haven't found another one in the family. Doesn't mean a cousin or uncle or any relative couldn't have also been named Robert. If any of this sounds familiar, I will be happy to share any other information that I have. Have a wonderful day. Sorry, but I don't know if these Parker's or French or not. I'm at a stand still. Wilson Parker, born in Monmouth County in 1776, died Cortland County NY in 1839. His wife, Rhoda Thorpe is evidently the niece of Emilie Grenung who brought the mirror from France. Rhoda's father was Isaac Thorpe, although I don't know her mother. Isaac was born in 1764 in New Jersey and died 1839 in Cortland County.,NY . Emilie Grenung very well might be the sister of Rhoda's mother. -----Original Message----- From: parker-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:parker-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of K Powell Sent: Friday, September 29, 2006 2:35 AM To: parker@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PARKER] Parker/Thorpe No ma'am but the confluence of the time, place, Parker surname, Monmouth, and France sure does interest me. Hello listers. I am seeking information about the parents and siblings of Wilson Parker (1776 - 1839)and his wife Rhoda Thorpe (1784 - 1864). I have been given a little bit more information about this couple, and thought perhaps it would ring a bell to some kind person. A mirror belonging to Emilie Grenung, who brought it from France in 1743 to Monmouth NJ,was given to her niece, Miss Rhoda Thorpe, when she married Wilson Parker at Morristown NJ and was one of the wedding presents of her daughter Emily Parker at her marriage to John Hollenbeck at Ithaca, NY, is now owned (1942) by their granddaughter, Mrs. Nellie Jones, daughter of L.A. Hollenbeck of Duchesne, Utah. If any of these names ring a bell to some one, please let me know. Thank you
