The following is what I found:- APPLICATION FOR A FREE PASSAGE TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA John Parker, occupation Gardener of Somerton, Somerset England, married aged 40 years and wife aged 39 years and two sons, aged 6yrs and 3 years. applied for a free passage to South Australia 27th February 1840. application Number 7239 and embarkation No. 4501 1841 CENSUS IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. The 1841 Census was the first Census in South Australia. I found the following in the Census information:- RESIDENCE FOR PARKER FAMILY IN 1841 CENSUS John Parker aged under 50 years, and Ann under 50 years and George under 14 years and David under 21 years resided in District "B" at the time of the Census. Another area showed his parents as Maximillian Parker, and Annie Campbell Gillis, Robert LeRoy Parker, b: 13, Apr., 1866, d: 1937, San Vicente. Then the 1880 census, Circleville, Piute, UT - Max, age 36, b: England, Ann, 32, Eng., Robert L., 14, b: UT, Arthur W., 10, UT, Jane Ann, 8, UT, William M., 6, UT, Susan L., 4, Max ?, 11/12,UT For what ever reason, Ann was apparently living with her mo in 1870 ( quite young as mo too) with 4 of the chil. Hi Mary, There is no Administrator for the Parker-L list (at least none that wants to admit to it). I have written to Rootsweb in the past about it, and even volunteered to take it over, but they will not do it without the Administrator's approval and release. So it's "Catch 22" for this list.
