He had several children, Gilliam Lester Parker, Redmond Parker, Benjamin Ashley Parker and Elias Parker that I know of. They all lived in the Kinston, N.C. area and most of them are buried there in a Parker Family Cemetery. Any info on this line would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Learry L. 3. Pat, My great grandpa was from Maryland. All I have is my great brandpa's name was Martin Parker. I have 2 book on his wive's family( McCombs/Latham by Robert McCombs) but they don't go any further up the Parker genealogy just downward.. I hit a brick wall and switched to my mother's family and got to my great grandpa on her father's side and great great grandpa on her mother's side before hitting brick walls. In your research have you run across a Matin Parker? His death certificate was filled out by the VA so no info there (incomplete). Any help would be appreciated. It's said that he helped mold and erect the First Iron Rails made in U.S. in 1844 Mt. Savage, Allegany Co. MD. I understand that Benjamin was married 3 times. 1st; Mary Fichter, 2nd; Rachel Ward & 3rd; Sarah E. Nixon. Together Benjamin & Sarah Elz. had 7 children; Benjamin F. Story was that Benjamin the spouse died and Sarah E. Nixon Parker returned, with her 7 children, to Ohio where she was born & had relatives there. She is listed as "washer woman" in 1860 Census. Knox Co. OH She is buried at Quarry Chapel Cemetery in Knox Co. Ohio. I am trying to find more of Benjamin Parker and location of where they married. Perhaps it can give me new direction of where Benjamin and his parents ( Robert Parker & Mary) lived before Benjamin's marriage to Sarah E. Nixon. Would like to know more about Sarah E. also. His Exwife is found in 1910 in Gove, Delaware co., Oklahoma with her new husband but no mention of the boys. Then in 1920 they are listed as living with her. It issucha small window of time to find out anything. Interesting enough a few of John Wesley's clan moved to Grove, There last names may have not been Parker as women lose theirlast name but I have a list of them somewhere. King's history said that Ray went to indianopolis Clyde went to Kansas Clay went to Colorado Mayme went to Kansas Did Jennie die young? I may have located her daughter Lucille in Coffeyville, Kansas maried to Jack Shomaker Was Jenny's husband's last name spelled Ewen? Georgiana is buried at Vienna Public. I thinkshe may be on the 1910 census in Eureka Springs Arkansas Ise where there was an Enfield Ammerman so I assumed that the Enfield in Vienna Public was a male. I can not account for Maude but Enfield and Maude have the same DOB Next to Enfield is John With so many of our Parker's dying young we did not have an Oral history Originally Levi Franklin, and John David lived near to Henry when he was north of Vienna. King says Levi F moved to the Tavern in 1883 John David moved there in 1893 The Home Advisor reported November 14, 1906 that Levi F Parker of near Vancleve was here Monday to assist his brother J D Parker in gettingready for his departure for New Mexico. John David was 5 not yet 6 when he was gunned down so there was not a tradition of Oral history in the Parker family. Most of what was reported has been found not to be correct. so we start again. Lisa James ljames62@osagecon.missouri.org is adirect descendant of Sary Lucey a An Parker and Thomas Ready. She still lives on Paydown Rd where the Parkers including Thomas Louis lived and are enumerated on various censuses Even Dozier is in Maries co before his departure to Arkansas. He was there as late as 1866 I hope to hear from you again Today Lisa and Karen Allen pasor of the local Methodist church were taking a field trip to the spot where John Wesley and Daniel B Briggs were murdered. Also there is a cave on the Gasconade that has been said to be a hidout of Jesse James Karen Allen is descended from John Wesley Jim Heady
