Tom I hope this helps.I found a Martha Melissa Parker born 1839 in Mississippi.She married Benjamin Kirby on 12-23-1858 in Cherokee County Texas.Benjamin was born 1836 in Tennesse.The only listed child is Joseph Thomas Kirby born 3-24-1860 in Texas and died 3-24-1940 in El Reno Texas.It doesnt list either of there parents. Garland, Are any of your Parkers from Grayson Co. TX? My gg grandfather was James Parker who m. (1) Elvira Davis and (2) Elizabeth Walker. The Parkers came to TX about 1852 and ran livestock, mostly horses and mules, between Grayson and Cook Co. TX. James is believed to have been born in Indiana ca 1815 but was in TN as a young man. His 1st wife was b. in Lauderdale Co. AL. They were m. in Missouri. Names and places sound similar to yours so thought I'd check.
