I assume since my great great grand father John Rees died when W H Rees was not of age (16), that B F Parker was either an extended family member, or old family friend. It appears that they all originated in PA, (Kivett side of the Rees family), and B F Parker's ancestor. The Rees side came down a little later, but have been involved with all these people for over 2 centuries. Can you tell me more about the Parker family. I would greatly appreciate any information about B F Parker, as I believe my family loved him so much, they named 2 generations after him. Thank you, Vicki Rees Kendall Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Parker lived just a few miles from the children of Aaron Parker in Copiah/Hinds County. While in Amite Aaron Parker had land next to Gordon (in'laws of JEP)! We know with DNA that at least 2 different Parker families were in Copiah by 1830 and 3 different family were in Amite by 1825. To add to this I find another Benjmain Parker... This one died in 1818 in Wilkinson Family. Only other Parker there at this time is William F PArker and William H. PArker. DNA of William F PArker is Family 5 like my Aaron PArker. William F PArker was there before 1808. I have question the connection between Aaron PArker and James E. Parker many times. I think James E. Parker might be Family 5 and not Family 7. These Parkers used many of the same names. Do you have proof? Isaac's family didn't use the name William in children, I know that doesn't mean a thing. There are two Benjamins in MS/LA by 1820. The one in LA and one that died in Wilkinson MS in 1818. Then there are 4 or 5 William that were adults with families by 1830-40. Then even in the odd name of Aaron, there is more than one. The one that came to Jackson County with Hubbard and Lewis. There is mine that was born ~1770-1833 who was married to Tabitha Rayborn, he was in Amite/Covington/?Lawrence and Copiah. The 3rd early born Aaron (before 1790)was in Lawrence and Neshoba Counties. Then there was the Lewis/Louis who is found in Copiah in 1830, don't confuse him with the Lewis that came to Jackson County area with Aaron and Hubbard. See what I mean.... just to many to asumme a connect because they lived in the same area. Records show my Family 5(DNA) lived where Family 1, Family 7 and Family 28 lived, all at the same time. This is theory, I think there are more "Family 5" then most people think. I love to prove, but without more DNA sample its not possible. I would start by looking at those that came to Copiah/Hinds county by 1830, this would include William, Lewis, Jeremiah/Jerry, James E. Parker to name a few. May 1851. Serena b. Apr 1864. It seems likely Charles would have had another marriage before Serena. I find in 1900 census a Harvey PARKER b. Jul 1876 and brother Charles PARKER b. Oct 1874 living next door to Charles and Serena. At ages 24 and 25 they could certainly be Charles' children by another wife. In the 1880 census this Harvey and Charles are living in the Burlington County Home for Children in Mt. Holly. Because of the 20yr census gap, I do not know if Harvey and Charles are ever living with Charles and Serena. Am especially interested the children (and spouses) of Charles and Serena. According to 1900 census she had 9 children / 6 living. According to 1910 census she had 14 children / 4 living. Any insight would be most appreciated JC Henry Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
