Born and raised in Hurlock, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Benjamin and Mary Phillips Harvey. After graduating Goldy College, Lib met and married Brooks W. Parker, Sr. on Oct. 20, 1940. Her first job was setting up and running the Seaford (DE)office of E.I. DuPont. After leaving DuPont she worked side by side with her husband for many years at Parkers, Inc. and with her husband and son, Buddy, at Hurlock Hardware. She was an active member of Unity Washington United Methodist Church in Hurlock, and in the past volunteered at the Veterans Administration in Cambridge, and at North Dorchester High School where she was a past president of the PTA. Payne he was born beteewn 1796 and 1802 in Davidson CO., Tennessee. He married Jane Sowell 29 Aug 1831 in Lawrence CO., Alabama. I don't know when his family moved to Alabama. They saw that James and Jane died in Lawrence CO., Alabama and is suposed to be burried at Pine Torch Cemetery, Bankhead National Forest, but I can't seem to find them burried there!!!!
