My grandfather Herman Geiger, was a Phila. policeman b 1886 Germany died 1926 in Fla. looking for info when he was on Police forse early 1900s thank you Lorri
Lorri, You may want to consider contacting the Philadelphia Archives. They have police rosters. They are relocating and are currently closed until the fall. http://pacscl.org/city-of-philadelphia-archives <http://pacscl.org/city-of-philadelphia-archives> In the mean time, you could look at the city directory pages. During that time frame, some of the city directories have the name of the person's occupation after their name. thank you Mary for the info. I did check out the archives, not much info.
I requested my mother’s 1928 Philadelphia birth record. Upon receiving the paperwork in the mail I returned it with required documents. How long should I wait for the birth record? It’s been almost a month now. ThanksDave
Assuming you ordered from Philadelphia Vital Records, any birth or death record I have ordered took a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks to receive. Hi Dave, A few years ago I had to wait 2 -3 months before PA sent me the birth certificate that I requested. Here's a link that may help - http://www.health.pa.gov/myrecords/certificates/pages/11596.aspx#processing Mary From: David Stroebel via PAPHILAD Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 3:03 PM Subject: [PAPhl] 1928 Birth Record To: [email protected] Cc: David Stroebel I requested my mother’s 1928 Philadelphia birth record.
