    1. [PAPhl] Philadelphia Death Certificates on Family Search web site
    2. I emailed the FHL last month and their response to me was: Due to contractual agreements, the images have been taken down until a registration feature is in place on Record Search. Our engineers are working to create the registration. We have been advised the images will be back up by the end of the year. Here is the link to the WIKI page for Philadelphia City Civil Death and Burial Records. It contains a link to the Pennsylvania Vital records which for a fee these records can be ordered. We accessed the Philadelphia death records WIKI page by clicking the "about this collection " hyperlink. We are sending a document on this feature. https://wiki.familysearch.org/en/Philadelphia_City_Civil_Death_and_Burial_Re cords As we wish you continued success in your family history research, we invite you to our community of researchers who assist in answering your questions at forums.familysearch.org. FamilySearch also offers worldwide research helps at wiki.familysearch.org. We'll see you there! In a message dated 4/5/2010 7:20:41 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, kphdogs@yahoo.com writes: [If the person you're looking for happened to die in Philadelphia 1803-1915, the below web site has info on the death certs, which often shows the estimated birth year and/or actual birth date.] The above reference was for the FamilySearch Labs website. They used to have the actual death certificates on the site. Does anyone know why they removed the actual certificates from the website? They also removed the Georgia death certificates and a few other documents. Did they sell them to Ancestry? I found so many relatives from the 2 states; now I find nothing. I can't even find out what happened to the actual certificates that used to be there. Any help on being able to access them again is most appreciated. Thanks. ********* Visit the threaded archives of this list: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/PAPHILAD ********* ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PAPHILAD-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
