I said I would do a little snooping. I found a wonderful book authored by Joseph F. Harrison III. I am waiting for a response from Mr. Harrison. His material is copyrighted, so I am not comfortable sharing too much. He published (self-published I presume) an excellent spiral-bound book entitled ST. STEPHEN'S CATHOLIC CEMETERY in the Nicetown Section of Philadelphia, PA. It includes, among other details, a history of the cemetery; illustrations that include the church, cemetery and the cemetery in 2003; a full map showing division into Plats 1 through 8 and maps of individual Plats 1 through 8 that include names. I've just begun reading the book. I can tell you, he did not uncover cemetery records. Our Lady of Hope has Sacramental records for St. Stephen, but no cemetery records. The Catholic Cemeteries Office does not have the cemetery records. It does keep the grass mowed at the cemetery, but it is very easy to miss it. When I look at a Google Map of Lycoming and Elser I can see a little fenced lot, but no markers. Am I looking at the right address?? -----Original Message----- From: Mary Finley <marmfin@verizon.net> To: paphilad@rootsweb.com Sent: Wed, May 26, 2010 1:11 pm Subject: Re: [PAPhl] St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery I said I would do a little snooping.
