    3. I am not surprised. I recently called the city about a will from the vault, they want $15 a page to copy and send it to me. Of course, if I go *there*, it won't cost but $1 a page. $14 a page for postage is just rude. >>Where else could you find a researcher for less than that?? I've wondered how they could afford the service for only $1.<< If you have access to America's Historical Newspapers, it's a fast lookup, and for the year 1908 has 69 newspapers which it searches all at once. The Library system has this, as do most university libraries (a good resource, if you are near a college, go use their library). The subscription probably doesn't cost them much at all, and the people work for the library so they are already getting paid to do *just that* - part of their job is looking things up.... I also found no obit or even a death notice for anything other than Elizabeth Carroll for the entire month of February, 1908. Lynn

    3. It's not just the postage. It is addressing the envelope, packing it, weighing it, and getting to the post office. That takes a bit more staff time Elizabeth C ltguidetti wrote: > I am not surprised. I recently called the city about a will from the vault, > they want $15 a page to copy and send it to me.
