Yeah, I have pretty carefully vetted the Philadelphia marriage registers - both in online index searches and by reading them page by page on microfilm. I think it's safe to say they weren't registered in Philadelphia. I'm heading (virtually) to New Jersey! This doesn't seem to be the case here because I checked familysearch.com for all Blanches married in 1895 and came up with nothing that is similar to the groom. The only way I found mine was getting the marriage license number from the Catholic Church which was still in existence. Sorry to be of no help.
