I have been having a issue trying to discover data for an uncle, PATRICK JOSEPH O'Brien who was born around 1924, the son of Joseph Patrick and Regina O'Brien. They lived in Mount Airy, in the 1940 Federal Census. From a search I conducted I believe my Patrick enlisted in the Army on 5 June 1942 in Philadelphia. Also, I have seen a Patrick J. O'Brien and Margaret Martin being married in 1943-is it my Patrick, I don't know? Martin was a name that comes up in my genealogy routinely but is she may not be one of my Martins. After that the trail runs cold for Patrick and this marriage. I do not feel comfortable that two items above are accurate. Patrick disappears. I'm wondering if Patrick was sent overseas, and may have been a casualty, and was buried overseas. Therefore a death notice might be helpful. I never heard of this Uncle Patrick growing up as a kid or even later. Until recently he was new news to me. Could someone look at the death notices for around 1942 to 1945 and see if there is a listing for Patrick. Any efforts from my side have not been productive. I appreciate your help!
