    3. Heritage Quest still exists but they now use Ancestry as their provider for all census information. My library still has HQ, and I use it often. It's still coming from Pro Quest, which has everything the same, including census for all years, city directories, books, and several other databases. HQ online works fine. All that changed is what it says at the top of the HQ page, and the formatting of the search page and of the results pages is a little fancier. Check with the county library. 3. If your local public library does not have HeritageQuest, and you live in the United States, most likely some other library in your state does, and in most cases, if you can prove you are a resident of that state, you should be able to get a library card, although you likely will need to walk in to get one. The way to find out which libraries in your state have HQ is use a search engine. Keywords might be: (for example) HeritageQuest databases PENNSYLVANIA If that does not work for you, then there is a forum somewhere that had a listing for sites carrying it. Although it is out of date, it still may be of value. I give links to that on the following page, as well as Dick Eastman's page about HQ: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~thecohens/resources.html#library Also, while FamilySearch has the censuses transcribed, availability of images varies. In most cases now they send you off to another site that is pay to get the image.
