    3. I agree that this is not the most user friendly site I have visited, but here is what I have been able to figure out. You are first presented with the "Grantor" (the Seller) or "Grantee" (The Buyer) choices in the upper left of the screen. I found that once you click on "Grantor" or Grantee" you get a list of years underneath. The years appear to be the earliest year noted on that particular page, but each page contains a range of years. Once you click on a year, you get a list of letter codes further down the left side of the screen. Single letters appear to be listings for businesses and other corporate entities, like churches. Double letter choices are for the first letters of both the surname and the given name. So, for instance, if I wanted to search for a deed where George Locke bought some property in 1798, I would first click on the Grantee item, then select the year 1798, then scroll down until I saw the listing for LG. Once here I would click on the "+" sign beside the LG and that opens up a sub-menu listing individual pages for that selection. Clicking on one of these listings will bring up that page in the center screen. If I wanted to look for a property that George Locke sold in 1798, I would repeat all of the following, except I would start out with the Grantor list. Once the page opens up it appears to default to a "fit screen" size. Depending on your browser (I use Internet Explorer), you should have an option at the top of your screen to re-size your page. I am vision impaired, but I find that setting the size to 100% (full size) allows me to comfortably read the pages, even though some of them are poor quality scans. You also have the option of saving the page to your computer which is nice. This allows you to look at it again at your leisure without having to re-search for it. I hope this has been helpful. -geo George F. Locke Raleigh NC, USA Researching John Lock of Philadelphia abt. 1700 - 1780
