Hi, all, try the Free Library of Philadelphia. http://www.freelibrary.org/ and click n "contact us" at the top far right of the page, then "Ask a Librarian." Since you have a date, it should be no problem for them to find the article. on't know what they will charge but I've found them very helpful in the past. Sharon mentioned getting a death certificate. You can get a 7-day free trial embership to Arcives.com ttp://www.archives.com/GA.aspx?_act=VitalRecords&klp=GA98001&cam=315&KW2=Pennsylvania&Location=PA&gclid=CIeZ_4PjtaYCFdtx5Qod2VvVIA to find a death cert, but again I don't know if there is a charge. I used to have access to a Philadelphia newspaper through a library, but hey were unable to continue their contract with the source, so I no onger have that access. I have looked through my local library ewspapers (online) and are unable to find what you want, but someone ut there will, hopefully, have a subscription to some newspaper that ill have an article. I was hopeful that another paper would have icked up the story, but I had no luck. Sorry, Betty Torno t. Apparently there were newspaper reports of it at the time. The name of person was John George BURROWS of Irish origin and who worked at the hospital. He originally came from Co. Down, in Northern Ireland, and was killed by one of the patients. Where would I find a newspaper of that era that would have reported the death records go back to the 30s. Any help in putting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I live in Co. Down myself and have Belfast City Cemetery database of deaths also some old Belfast Street directories. Always willing to do a lookup for anyone in USA researching their ancestors. I look forward to hearing from someone who can help me in my search.
