I've "rescued" an old photograph of George W. BOYER of Shannondale, Clarion Co., PA which was taken at the A. G. Keet Studio in Harrisburg, PA sometime in the 1860's. George appears to be in his 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding George and his family: George W. BOYER was b. 1 Oct 1846 in Shenadoah or Shannondale, PA and married Mary Magdalena S. STRAESSLEY (1849-1916) and together they had at least three children, Charles William BOYER (1869-1933); Anna W. BOYER (1879-1881) and Caroline E. BOYER (1884-1962). George died in July 1933 in Olney, PA and is buried in the Saint Boniface Cemetery in Kersey, PA. Census records provide the following details: 1850 census of Redbank, PA: George BOYER, age 50, a Merchant, born PA Elizabeth BOYER, age 37, born PA Mary BOYER, age 9, born PA George W. BOYER, age 4, born PA 1870 census of Redbank, PA: - living in the home of Harman & Caroline SHESTEY George W. BOYER, age 23, a Medical Student, born PA Mary S. BOYER, age 20, Keeping House, born KY Charles BOYER, age 1, born PA I am hoping to locate someone from this BOYER Family so that the photograph can be returned to their care.
