I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the SELIGMAN Family. The first is a photograph of Rodney SELIGMAN which was taken at the D. A. Bowman Studio in Mahanoy City, PA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Rodney likely about 7 years old at the time it was taken. The second photograph is one of Bess SELIGMAN (who I believe is Rodney's Mother - Elizabeth FRALEY SELIGMAN) which was taken at the P. E. Chillman Studio in Philadelphia, PA in the 1880's when she was in her teens or 20's. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this family: Elizabeth "Bessie" Mayer FRALEY was b. 1861 and married S. George SELIGMAN (b. 1859 in Port Carbon, PA-1927) in 1886 and together they had five children including, Fallon Gladys; Dallas Wilder "Nilda" or "Wilda"; George Rodney; Lawrence Fraley; and Doris Elizabeth SELIGMAN, all born between 1887 and 1899. Bessie died in 1899 and is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA. Their son George Rodney SELIGMAN was b. 13 Sept 1891 in Mahanoy City, PA and married Mary Helen FAIRCHILD (1895-1960) and together they had a daughter Helen Jayne SELIGMAN (b. 18 May 1927 in Phoenix, AZ-2005). Rodney and Helen divorced around 1933. Rodney died 4 Aug 1965 in Sebastopal, CA. Rodney's daughter married Otis STEPHENSON and she died 13 Apr 2005 in Phoenix, AZ. Helen's obituary notes that a son Mark STEPHENSON preceded her in death and that she was survived by her husband Otis and daughters Sherry STEPHENSON and Christy BENDER and grandchildren, Joshua and Jesse GROTHE, Michael STEPEHNSON, Trudee ALLRED, and Brandy KLINE, and great-grandchildren Brianna KLINE and Brock ALLRED, and Tucker ALLRED. Her husband Otis died in 2009 and his obituary indicates that Otis and Helen married in 1952 and moved to Tucson, AZ where their three children were born in 1963. They later moved back to Phoenix, AZ. Between 2005 and 2009 a number of additional great-grandchildren were born.
