Thank you to all who responded with helpful information--there were many who replied off list, and I was in the process of sending individual thank you when the responses kept on coming. So a big thank you to all!! Holy Cross was very helpful. In response to the many who said "call first", I did so, and I was able to arrange time to head out there today. If you go to Holy Cross, there is a FHC only 8 miles away with a permanent collection of Philadelphia films; it's the Valley Forge FHC. Also, I was told that only 2 lookups are done per person per visit, so though I had 3, I got 2 -- a headsup for anyone making the trip. I was given a map, it was highlighted for me, and when I was seen wandering and looking lost (I still ended up walking the wrong part!), I was given help by one of the many friendly people who work there. Sadly, my family has no markers, but I did get a printout that includes the following names in the event anyone is connected: Francis Miller died 10/15/1918, Marie L. Mellor died 06/15/1914, Dominick Finnigan died 10/25/1924, Marie Finnigan died 05/26/1902, Margaret Anderson died 10/26/1907, Mary J. Finnegan died 10/09/1902, Peter J. Finnegan (owner) died 07/09/1943, and Mary Sekel died 12/13/1910. I have been able now to confirm Mary's birth: she was born as Mary FINNEGAN in June 1871 to Jeremiah FINNEGAN and his wife Emily. Jeremiah was a lithographer and born in NY; Emily was a homemaker and born in Washington DC.
