I'm looking to talk to any person with the surname of McMURTURIE or McDOWELL. I'm researching these names in Philadelphia City. McMURTURIE came from Scotland. The McDOWELL were born in Mexico. Here is what I have at this time: Jno (John) MacMURTURIE, b. abt 1831, Scotland Agnes Mc DOWELL, b. , Mexico children: Agnes, b. 1853, Rockdale, , PA Mary, b. 1857 (Direct line), Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA William, b. 1860, , , PA Jane, b. 1862, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA Hugh, b. <1864>, , , PA Jno remarried Rosetta, b. < 1835>, , , KY. Of this marriage there was a child born; Neilson, age 1, PA. Agnes must of died. Assume that she died in Philadelphia. Other than Mary, I have not found any other info.
