I am finally after getting a relative's 1957 death cert, and it gives the social. My plan had been to use the social to locate him in the military's records, since he died in a VA hospital. The problem: Putting his social into the social sec. death index brings up a different man's name. Now I am stumped. Any ideas? I do not have his service number. Paul
