This thread started off related to genealogical research but somewhere along the line has turned into reminiscing about things that are getting pretty far afield from genealogy. I know all of us with memories of the Philadelphia area years ago like to chat about these things, and I don't want to stifle that chatting--I'd just like to remind everyone that we have a sister list devoted exclusively to that purpose -- a list for chatting about Philadelphia topics that are not directly linked to genealogy. We tend to forget this and tend to forget that some on the PAPHILAD list would prefer to keep list discussion to genealogy-only.
