Does anyone know where the church records are for St Matthew's Reformed Church (German) that in 1912 was located on North 5th Street below Erie Avenue. The pastor at that time was U. O. Silvius. THANKS :) Link M. Davis entoman@comcast.net
Link, I may be interested in what you find. My Great Grandparents lived in Philly on the 1890 city directory I found them at 733 N 7th St. His Pipe & Tobacco Shop was 16 N. 6th. This sounds like it may have been near by. I at first thought German...Luthern but recently found out that their spelling of the name was porbalby Dutch German...So maybe in the Reformed church . Please let me know what you find. Thank you.
