My paternal Great-grandmother was Margery McFadden (aka Larkin and Farrell). She died December 6, 1940. Her first husband was my great-grandfather John Larkin. When John died Margery married Daniel Farrell in 1901. I have recently received Margery's obit from the Philadelphia Library. It is difficult to read, but Margery's residence was listed as 489? Devereaux Street in Philadelphia. The wake was held at her home and she was then buried in Holy Cross Cem.along with her deceased husband Daniel. The obit lists Margery as the mother of Sister M. Xaveria SSJ, who was my great aunt. Margery was also suppose to be the mother of my grandmother Regina Larkin O'Brien. Regina was not listed in the obit and I'm not sure why. Regina's death certificate lists Margery as her mother. I quess I'm surprised she was not listed since Regina did not die untill 1958. Margery's parents were Emanuel Mc Fadden and Mary McNulty from Plymouth Meeting. John Larkin and Margery McFadden Lived at 2816 N. 6th Street. John died March 20, 1891 at the age of 71. What I'm trying to learn who was in the household during census taking around the early 1900s through her death at the Devereaux address. Margery was reportedly in the real estate business as was her first husband John Larkin. So if someone could please see if she is listed in eary census documents I would greatly appreciate the help!!

Hello Michael, Keep in mind that someone other than Margery composed her obit. Most likely it was a FARRELL. Your grandmother could have been omitted due to oversight or spite.
