Donna: Two Indian Wars that come to mind, are the "Black Hawk War" in the No. Central states, and the "Florida Seminole Wars". The first war mentioned, was during the presidential term of Andrew Jackson, as was the First Seminole War, in about 1823. The Second Seminole War was in the mid 1830's, (Chief Oseola and the Dade County Militia, as well as U.S. Army troops).
