At the time of his death his obit identified his wife as Catherine. They lived at 2517 W. Allegheny Ave, 38th Ward. Catherine died March 1, 1917. I have not been able to get a death certificate for her from the Department of Hearth-no record available. On Joseph's death certificate his mothe r is listed as Mary Gibbons. I'm not sure but this may or may not be correct. Possibly he had more then one wife? 1900 Census WArd 32 Unfortunately it is very light making it difficult to read but I could make this out James husband born 1855 all that follow born in Pa Listed as a Carpenter Catherine wife born 1862 Mary daughter born April 1881 James son born May 1883 Joseph son born (March???) 1887 William son born 1889 Frances son born 1894 This states James emigrated 1882 but that doesn't make much sense if Mary is his daughter and she was born in PA in 1881. The 1900 census list birth month and year. WWI Draft Registration Joseph Patrick O"Brien Born March 6, 1887 Brakeman, Philadelphia Reading Railroad Wife, 2 children Lives 1905 11th St. Philly Medium build , Medium height Eyes blue Hair grey signed June 5 1917
