You said your father-in-law's cousin was George Straub. I don't have any info on the family, but I was wondering if you might be related to John and Alice Straub? They would have been born about 1925/1930 and lived in the Northeast Village in the 50's & early 60's. I was too young to remember, but my mom speaks of her old neighbors fondly.
