Does anyone know of any military service that might apply to this time period? I am seeking information on his parents, siblings, etc. Thank you, Donna Cuillard I believe that in 1848. Oxford Township, Chester County might still have been part of Philadelphia County. You'd have to look and see when they split up the counties. At one point, most of eastern Penna. was part of Philadelphia COUNTY. which used to be different that the boundaries of the city. That was revised somewhere along the line but god help me, I can't remember when. So check that possibility out too. _Beth Cherkowsky Researching Bradley, Forrester/Forrestal, Donohue, Boylan, Manning, McHugh, Cormac, Manning, Fountas, Czerkaukus, Liaundanskas, in Ireland, Russia/Lithuania, Greece, Scotland and the USA._ (http://members.aol.com/cougartoys/alley.html)
