Hi All, Just received an obit for my husbands ggrandfather. It says "At the close of the Civil War in 1867, he enlisted in Company B, 16th United States Infantry and fought against the Crees, Apaches and Sioux. Mr. Trout also spent some time on marshal duty in the State of Mississippi." I've written for his pension files back in October and haven't heard anything yet. Anyone have any idea where to look for information about campains or other activities of Company B? Any place to check out about marshal duty in Mississippi? Where were the Crees, Apaches and Sioux living? Thanks for any help or ideas you might have. Edna
