McElroy's Philadelphia Directory for 1839 lists a Turner's St. running E. from 337 S. 4th Street, and a Turner's Court, N. from Catharine Street between 2nd and 3rd. No Turner's Lane is listed. Catharine Street ran from the Delaware River to 10th Street between German and Queen Streets. All of these addresses would be in the area SE of Washington Square and very near Front Street and the Delaware River.
