    3. Happy New Year One and All..... My gg grandparent's, Henry and Sophie Wienand, belonged to St. Peter the Apostle Church located at 1019 N. 5th Street. Henry died on 2 Feb 1890 and Sophie died before 1905. A couple of years ago I wrote the church about burial records. We traded a couple of letters and I sent them a check for more than the amount they requested for the search, and I never heard from them again. This past weekend I emailed a site on Catholic Cemeteries in Philly, and I just rec'd a response. They don't have any records for parish cemeteries. According to their email, Holy Redeemer Cemetery, would be the burial site for those attending St. Peter's. Is anyone familiar with Holy Redeemer Cemetery? And is it worth calling them? Thanks. He came to the U.S in the early 1740's and settled in Philadelphia County and Lancaster County. I don't have any more information except he left Pennsylvania in the middle 1760's for North Carolina. 3. Trying to locate the birth of Ellen Lynch in Philadelphia about 1890 or 1891. Her parents Charles Lynch and Ellen Doogan(Dougan) and two little girls under 4 years had emigrated there from Donegal Ireland about 1889. Their address there is unknown. It seems they only stayed in the Us for about 2 or three years. It was not too common for immigrants to make the return journey to Ireland especially with very young children. Charles and Ellen were born around 1860 both in Donegal. Thanking you in advance roisin Lafferty

    3. I am trying to find information on the Scott family who lived in Phila. PA. Blanche Hewitt born ca 1882 in/near Phila. married Charles H. Scott pre 1916. They had daughters Charlotte J. ca 1915 and Margaret ca 1916. On the 1920 and 1930 censuses they were living at 5414 Irving Street in Phila. Charles died in 1950. His address was 103 No. Main Street, Hatfield, PA. Blanche died in 1956. Her address was 2141 N. 10th St., Phila. PA. It was the home of a Jane Byers. M. Scott was the informant and was living in Wash. DC. Margaret Scott took care of the funeral arrangements. Nothing is known of Charlotte after the 1930 census. Nothing is known of Margaret other then where she lived in 1956. I'd like to know if either of them married, had children, etc. Could they still be living? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Lisa Lockett ronandlisa@suscom.net

    2. Seek information on William Wray, merchant, of Philadelphia. He died in 1828 at the age of 64, ? Born about 1764. His wife was Ann. At his death his widow, Ann, requested that Letters of Administration be given to either Silas Weir, esq., the REv. Ezra Stiles Ely, and Dr. John Hood. This document was witnessed by Margaretta Oliver and Susannah Wray. Would appreciate any information about William Wray--birthplace, parents, marriages, etc. I can find him in the census but have no other information about him or his family. Thanks! Jean

Since I can't find him by name, does anyone know where in the census I'd find the Naval home? It was on Grays Ferry Ave. Thanks, Lorraine --------------------------------- Yahoo! 2. Jim Cullen
    3. Paul, If you find that the cemetery is maintained/managed by the Philadelphia Archdiocesan, then you're in luck. If you have a name and date, you can very easily get a listing of everyone buried in the same plot. I have "uncovered" a few relatives that way. You can get the plot records from: Archdiocesan Cemeteries Office 111 South 38th Street Philadelphia, PA 19104 (215) 895-3450. (e-mail: cemetery@adphila.org) If you e-mail them with the information, including your street address, they will mail you the plot listing in a few days. They have been great. Good Luck, Jim Cullen http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jimcullen/
