I'm looking for information on Sarah J. RITER or RIGHTER, preferably more information on her parents and grandparents. She was born abt 1838. Her father was John RITER/RIGHTER (he was possibly born in Chester Co.), mother's given name was Mary/Margaret. Sarah was listed in the 1850 census of Lower Dublin, Phil. Co.with her parents, brothers and sisters. In the 1920 Census, Dist 33, Norristown, Montgomery Co., PA, she is listed at 81 yrs. of age, living with her nephew James J. RAWE. Perhaps the RAWE family might know of additional information. Thank you, Jacqui (Righter) Baylis
The Lutheran Archives are open for research. You can visit this Archives. There are only two staff members at the Lutheran Archives and I doubt that you will be able to get any answers from the staff. It is difficult to get anyone on the phone. I believe that someone else has posted information on the Lutheran Archives on this list. Sndtenterprises Genealogical and Historical Research

The state archive has the Pennsylvania railroad voluntary disability cards. They're kept alphabetically. Liz Harrison

The Lutheran Archives is staffed by volunteers, usually two. It is a very small place and you need an appointment to be able to research there yourself. They are open limited hours on limited days. It is difficult to get through to them on the phone, which is usually busy. You can request research but I waited about 6 months and got no response. I found that the records I needed, which is what you are working in, are copies of what they have. You might persist in calling them and explore with them what they have and whether it would be worth your making a trip there, assuming, of course, that you are in the area. Good luck. Merle
