In Phila. it's too coincidental that the surnames are the same. Italian American families keep track of each other there - much better than some other ethnic groups I'm familiar with (LOL ! Laughing at my husband saying "What does that mean?"...he who has no idea where his cousins are or even WHO his cousins are! - Lithuanians...JEEZ!) so it maybe he's related or he might at least have a clue who is. And he's from the area where your Antonia was situated. Here's his link at the City Goverment page. _http://www.phila.gov/citycouncil/dicicco/index.html_ (http://www.phila.gov/citycouncil/dicicco/index.html) May not pan out but if you don't try, how will you know? Hello Everyone, I am trying to locate death info for Emma (HALLMAN) GOTTSHALK, b. March 1, 1867 in PA to William G. and Salena/Celina (?KRAUS?) HALLLMAN. Emma was married Oct. 20, 1885 to John (BEAN) GOTTSHALK, I believe in PA. I have some of the census info for them as man and wife 1900-1930, all of which were in Phila. PA. They had five children, Emma, Viola, John, Allison and Ellison. Somewhere I got death info of Dec. 23, 1955, in Camden, NJ, for Emma, but, that was years ago, and I didn't write down where it came from. A search of the Camden, NJ Library rendered negative results for an obit. So, now I'm back to the drawing board - maybe I had the date right but the place wrong. With all the census being in Philly, maybe that is where she died too. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help ~ Dori
Hello Everyone, I've decided to switch branches here for a bit. So, I'm looking for information about William G. HALLMAN b. abt. 1844 in PA. He was married to Selina/Celina (?KRAUS?), b. abt. 1839 or 1847 in PA. The only other info I have is census info for them in 1870 and 1880 listing four children. William was a cigar maker in Phila. PA in both of those census'. Thanks for the Help ~ Dori

B, thanks! Here's an update, and thanks to the help of a lister I've discovered the family in the 1910 through 1930 censuses and have learned that Antonio's mother immigrated as well--something I had not known and came as quite as a surprise. 1910: 735 Carpenter Street is the residence of my Antonio DICICCO along with his mother Carolina, his brother Giovanni, and his sister Concetta. 1920: 934 Beulah Street is the residence of Antonio and his wife Fortunata and their children Marino, Joseph, Clementine, Rosina, Catherine, and Carmela. 1930: 1404 Patton Street is the residence of Antonio and his wife Fortunata and the same children plus one more named Angelina. Marino has changed his name to Charles, Rosina to Rose, Carmela to Millie. 1936: According to his social security application, Antonio is living at 1424 S. Patton Street. 1936 is the year I have of his wife Fortunata's death. And, he is now living next door to the man Mildred DICICCO has married/will marry (need to get that marriage date): William Joseph SEKEL on 1426 S. Patton Street. James SEKEL, William's father, is at 435 Patton Street. The SEKEL line is quite a challenge and my part of the family line I'd like to tackle. I'm not finished by any means with the DICICCO line, but I feel like I have a good start on them. Laurie ----- Original Message ----- : I think I found your 1910 census of Antonio DiCicco, possibly with the spelling of DiCecco. It's hard to tell from the writing. There is also a Nicola, possibly a brother? Antonia shows as married once and number of children born is 2. His immigration date is 1909. I can send you a copy of the image offline if you wish. : : By the way, our Casalenos and Mastripolitos came over around the same time. They were from the Abruzzi region.

Thank you for your reply. I have learned that the address was not in Phila. but in NJ.
There is no Main ave. in Philadelphia nor has there ever been a Main Ave. There is Main St. in Manayunk but there isn't a 31 Main St. Main St. in Manayunk begins about 3700 North. At one time, both Germantown Ave. and Frankford Ave were called Main St., but again there wouldn't be an address of 31 for either of these streets. What is the source of your information? The street addresses haven't changed since 1930. There is a Maine Ave. in Upper Darby, Delaware County, a suburb of Philadelphia. Sndtenterprises Genealogical and Historical Research
Could someone please tell where 31 Main Avenue, Phila. was located in 1930. Has the name of the street changed since then. I have been trying to locate it on Mapquest without success. Janet

The marriage records through City Hall costs at least $30. You can order the index through your local FHC, then either order the registration film the same way or just order copies of the pages you need for a total of about $11.50. Merle
THanks so much to all who commented on the moulder question. Paul
I'm seeking the marriage record (or date) for Walter Black and Elsie M Stritzel. There were married less than a year on the 1910 Philadelphia County census. They were divorced before the 1920 census was taken. Any ideas on how to get those records??? IS it easy to get them from the County Marriage Bureau at City Hall? Michele
Would appreciate a look up of a marriage record for Luke Cannon to Mary Margaret Leahy either 1884-1885. Was recently in Philly for a business trip went to the archives but had no luck, any help would be appreciated. Philip Dreger Gulf Shores, Al.
