Hi Kate! Her name was Bertha Franck or Frank (I have seen it both ways, sometimes on the same document!!) she died Dec 16, 1910 and was buried Dec 19, 1910. She was born in 1865 in Germany. I am seeking her birth city and her parent's names (there is even conflict regrading her maiden name. I have seen both Hartmann and Erdmann). Thanks for the help. Janet Franck Eagen

Joanne, Don't worry. You sent it to the right place. New Castle is amazing at finding things. They're also a pleasure to work with. Lorraine
That was the correct place for deaths after 1906. Sndtenterprises Genealogical and Historical Research

Public Ledger 1st, then Inquirer, then Bulletin. Larry B. ----Original Message Follows---- Larry B kindly gave us some of the newspapers that are archived at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Can anyone tell me which of these newspapers would most likely contain the obituaries of Irish Catholic families living in North Philadelphia circa 1860-1920? TIA Jim Flynn
Does anyone know the location of "Bethesda Row"? I think it was in Southwark but it no longer exists. Perhaps it was "I-95'd" out of existence. Craig TenBroeck

Does anyone know where Thorpes or Thorps Lane in Philadelphia is? I ran it through expedia and it came back with no hits.
Thank you!!!!!!!
What would be the best papers for a death in 1910, and where would they be archived?
Two different Thorpe's Lanes were renamed. 1) Renamed Bell's Mill Road in 1900. Ran from Stenton to Ridge Aves. in Chestnut Hill. 2) Renamed Fairhill Street in 1931. Ran from Diamond to Susquehanna, west of 5th St. Larry B. ----Original Message Follows---- From: JAEgo2@aol.com Reply-To: PAPHILAD-L@rootsweb.com To: PAPHILAD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PAPHL] Street name change Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2006 18:52:53 EST Does anyone know where Thorpes or Thorps Lane in Philadelphia is?
