    3. Just a couple of additions to what Kate sent: The entries on this census page are VERY difficult to read. On Ancestry, I needed to magnify the entry to 200%. Catherine is listed as "sister", with birth Oct 1858. Brother Joseph's birth date is Mar 1863. There appears to be another family living at the same "dwelling number" - William (looks like ROUCH??) born 1842 in PA.; parents born in PA; occupation is "Inspector C. House", with wife of 31 years, Margaret B. born Jan 1846 in PA; father born in Ireland, mother born in PA. Happy hunting! 2. Michael, FYI If you have a library card you can research the census from your computer at home on Heritage quest. Or if you go to the library you can get th Ancestry.com (free) and do even more research. Susan ---- "Michael J. 3. Keith, There is a site which I have attached the address for. It is to the Philadelphia Free Library. They have volunteers that look up requests for $1 sometimes they will send it to you email and you then send them some money or they may send it to you regular mail with a bill or both... I have been very successful in getting responses within 1 week to 1 month. You can send for them by regular mail or e-mail. By mail: Send a written request with the person's name, date of death (month, day, year) or burial date and a stamped self-addressed envelope. We will only check two newspapers. The cost of photocopying from microfilm is 50 cents per page with a $1.00 minimum. Maximum of 2 obituaries can be requested at one time. Send request to: Free Library of Philadelphia Newspapers & Microfilm Center 1901 Vine Street Philadelphia PA 19103 Email: Send a written request with the person's name, date of death (month, day, year) or burial date. 2. Edna Trout
    3. Hi, If someone has access to the 1930 census could you please check on Bertha A. Huber. She was living with her parents Jacob and Pauline in 1920. I know she was alive until 1950. She was born July 19, 1898 so she would have been about 32 in 1930. She never married, that I know of. Wondering who she was living with also. As far as I know all the family lived in the Phila. area. Thanks, Edna

    1. New Vital Records Organization
    2. Vital Tree
    3. Hello all, My name is Krystal Wilson. I am a student at Temple University and I manage a genealogical website for vital records. I emailed the list admin to get approval for this post looking for volunteers for a genealogical effort. I thank her for her approval. Vital Tree is a website that collects and posts images of vital records, access to the site and the documents is free. I am now trying to get approval from Temple University to turn it into an organization. Once (and if) it gets approval we will need a staff to run it. This organization will continue to collect and post vital records. We will also be able to host family reunions, genealogical seminars open to the public, and more. I am looking for volunteers to help. I need at least 3 TU students to be able to finish the approval process. I am also looking for anyone else who would like to help to fill the many positions that will be open. If you are interested and would like more information please email me directly at vital_tree@msn.com<about:blank>. Thank You - Krystal Wilson - Vital Tree http://clik.to/vitaltree<about:blank>

    2. I was told by Ancestry that their main # is 800-262-3787, you get a menu and you make your selection. 801-431-5220 is also an Ancestry number where you get the same menu as above. I also tried 800-442-1734 and got right through to a "person". She seemed to be able to help in all areas of Ancestry. Good luck. Elayne
