    3. Want years do the Philadelphia Photo Volumes cover.? My great grandfather had a Pipe shop at 16 N. 6th in 1890. I found it in the Phil. City Directory, 1890 as Charles H. Jaep & Co. (segars) I would love to have a picture of that area then. 3. We must have had a lot of ancestors who started out as bakers. I am looking for a photo of a bakery at 134 Vine Street -- first named Nagle's and later (I think) Deuber's. The Nagles owned a family chain so other bakeries may bear that name. The years would be 1870-1900. Thanks for any help! Natalie ndburrows@verizon.net

    3. Thanks again, everyone who helped on this. McKean is a strong possibility. I'm going to have to track down that original, I guess! Second question: on my great-grandmother's birth certificate I am completely stumped by what is written in for her residence address. Aside from being illegible to me, it doesn't look like an address. There's no number at all. Would anyone be willing to have me e-mail them the scanned document and see what you think? I'd very much appreciate it! Helene -----Original Message----- From: Marjorie B. 2. There were thousands of bakeries in Philadelphia. When I grew up in a Philadelphia neighborhood in the 1940s and 1950s there was a bakery every three blocks through the neighborhood.

Co., in the will of her husband, James Hamer, d. 1715. I believe Joseph Richardson may have married one of their daughters. He is named as overseer and witness in James Hamer's will.
