Hi, While we are on the subject of Saint Michael's Church in Pfoutz Valley, etc., I, too, have been there ... I mean, to the cemetery. It was in April of 1969. And there was no church there, anymore, but I remember seeing the plaque. Now, my question is, does anyone have access to the baptismal, etc., records of the church? I need to verify the birth date of Henry Long, son of John and Catherine (Strauss) LONG (Johannes and Maria Catharina Lang/Long). Someone sent me that information perhaps as long as a year ago ... and now I can't find the source. That record proved that my Henry Long could not have been the son of John and Catherine, as my Henry was born in 1764 ... and their son, Henry, was born some 20 years later, if I remember correctly. In fact, chances are that my Henry Long was the son of the Henry Long whose will is found in York Co., PA and was probated in 1795, Paradise Twp. By the way, (to P. Campbell), one of my dad's first cousins, Christina Long, married an Ulsh ... and an aunt, Lucy Long, married a Campbell. They were raised near Eshcol, Saville Twp. (I met Cousin Christina when we were back there in 1969.)
