    3. I am seeking the family lineage of John Bowman, b.12 Mar 1813. He d. 24 March 1890. According to The Perry Historians, he was from Dauphin County. I have been unsuccessful in finding information about him through the Dauphin County Historical Society and genealogy data online. John Bowman purchased land from his father-in-law, Samuel Thompson in New Buffalo, Watts Twp., PA. He married Martha Thompson, Presbyterian Congregation, Millerstown 18 Oct 1838.j They are buried in Hill Church Cemetery. Children of John Bowman and Martha Thompson are: i. Sarah Elizabeth Bowman, b. 1838; m 1st W.J Cumbler, 2nd Benjamin Unger. ii. Martha Jane Bowman, b. 1841; m. J. Shaffer. iii. George Bowman, b. 1843;d. 1848 iv. Laura Cecelia Bowman, b.1845; m. Frank Martin,Senator. v. Regina Bowman, b. 1848; m. William Rudd vi. John Thompson Bowman, b. 1853;d. 08 May 1936;m. Martha Ellsworth McCormick 06 Jan 1887; dau of Sara Settle and Thomas McCormick.     3. Do you know where in Dauphin Co. John Bowman was from? I have a deed (posted on the Dauphin Co. web page) that has a Henry Bowman from Buffalo Twp.( in what was then Cumberland Co., now Perry) buying land in Halifax Twp., Dauphin Co. in 1815. My Franck/Fronk family seemed to have gone back and forth more than once across the Susquehanna. I've come across several Bowmans in the Halifax Twp. area.
