BENNER JR. Arthur Emory "Art" Benner Jr., 63, of Millerstown RR 2 died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Oriental, Juniata County, to the late Arthur E. Sr and Mary (Brown) Benner. He had been the owner of Benner's Variety Store on the Square, Newport, and had grown and sold produce for 25 years; was retired rom the former Jackson Manufacturing Company, Harrisburg, and previously worked for Cretti Constuction Company, Camp HIll, Wilson's Autobody, Millerstown, and Turnbaugh Garage, Newport; attended Millerstown High school; a member and president of the Millerstown Sportsmen's club; a Member of the Village Chapel, Donnally Mills, and a life member of Newport Order of Owls; and enjoyed fishing and huinting. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Wanda E Prouse Benner; four sons, Carl E., John A. Sr., and Walter A. "Skip," of of Millerstown, and Willard E. of Millerstown RR; a daughter; Joyce E. Henry of Millerstown; two brothers, Harry of Duncannon ann Larry of Harisburg; four sisters, Evelyn Delancy of Newport, Joan Miller of Mechanicsburg, Margaret Wilson of Millerstown, and Judy Dunn of Thompsontown RR 1; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman R. Services were held March 4 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool with the Rev. James A Neimond oficiating and Rev. Gary Hockenberry assisting. Burial was in St. Matthew's cemetery, Millerstown RR 3. He was born Feb. 18, 1933 in Lemoyne to the late John and Dora (Light) Heckman. He was an Air Force verteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and a member of F&AM Ottawa Lodge 51 on Marysville, Mont., and the Brotherhood of Vietnam vets. Surviving are his wife, Kathy Ann Heckman; two sons, Robert of Fairfield, Calif., and Eric of Spokane, Wash; a daughter, Kimberly Hanlon of Leominster, Mass.; six grandchildren. A graveside service, with military honors, was held Feb 19 in St. John's (Barner's) Lutheran Cemetery, Liverpool RR 1, with the Rev. Raymond D. Neitz officiating. Orris, 78, of Buckwheat Road, Tuscarora Twp., Millerstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002 in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1923 in Saville Twp. to the late Chester Shellenberger and Lena Benner. She was a housekeeper. Surviving are her husband, Frank W. Orris; two daughters, Belva Geedy of Dover and Vonnie Rager of Liverpool; two brothers, Chester and Herbert Shellenberger; two half-brothers, Jack Brown of Montana and Harry Brown of Washington state; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held Feb. 17 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Edward Baugh officiating. YOHN SR. George W. Yohn Sr., 75, of N. Fourth Street, Newport, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was born July 19, 1926 in Newport to the late Wilbert L. and Anna (Clay) Yohn. He was retired from Fruehauf Manufacturing; and Army verteran of World War II, earning the Bronze Star; and enjoyed baseball, golfing and hunting. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Fickes Yohn; four sons, James E. of Calif and George W. Jr., Danny L. and Larry G., all of Newport; a daughter, Susan Ann Wilson of Dauphin; a sister, Beverly A. Yohn of Newport; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services, wth military honors by New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463, were held Feb. 11 in Newport Cemetery with the Rev.
