Surnames: BORELL, BORRELL, WALT, WALLIS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/odB.2ACI/464 Message Board Post: I am looking for any further identification to document this Catharine Borrell and her parents or other descendants. She is found in the household of Henry Walt in 1850 Liverpool, Perry County, PA. I would greatly appreciate reply from anyone doing Borrell family research in this area of PA. 1850 Census Liverpool Borough, Perry Co., PA 1013 - 498 SEPT 17, 1850 Dwelling # 96 Family # 95 Henry Walt age 33, M, Boatbuilder, born Penna., Catharine, age 30, F, Penna. Minerva J., age 4, F, Penna. Amanda M., age 3, F, Penna. Ambridge (sp?), age 1/12, M Rebecca Borrel, age 17, F, Penna. (Could the Rebecca Borell mentioned in the 1850 census be Catharine's sister?) Catharine Borell Walt's daughter Minerva's death certificate identifies Catharine as Katherine Berell. (maiden name spelling) The name is found in many combinations of spellings. Catharine Borell Walt appears to have remarried between 1861 and 1865 to an Unknown WALLIS. She shows up in 1870 Liverpool census as Catharine WALLIS. There were Borell/Borrell families in Perry Co and Dalmatia, Northumberland County, not far across the Susquehanna River from Liverpool, PA around this same time. Peter Borrell family is in 1860 Census for Dalmatia, Northumberland Co. Does anyone had any further documentation of the following that might place Catharine Borrell?
