In the 1850 census of Penn Township (That's where Duncannon is located.) I find this family: 1850 U.S. Census . Pennsylvania . Perry . Penn Dwelling 526 Family 563 George Snyder 62 Germany Catharine 67 Germany John 29 PA Nancy 28 PA Mary 7 PA Catharine J. 4 PA Philip E 1 PA That would make George born circa 1788 and Catharine born circa 1783. As for tying in with Francis, or John George, why not? There can be more than one John in a family, if that's a baptism name.
