BIOGRAPHICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF JUNIATA VALLEY, pp. 958-959, has an article on Hezekiah MCAFEE born in McAfeetown, Turbett Twp., then Mifflin Co., now Juniata Co. The article gives considerable ancestral history as well as some descendant history. Among descendants named are Daniel, James, John, and Wilson. OF JUNIATA VALLEY and the FLICKINGER FAMILY HISTORY, Sydney WILSON was b. 3/1/1817 in Mifflin Co. (now Juniata Co.). Her parents were Richard WILSON and Catherine STROUSE. It appears possible that my Sidney Wilson and your Margaret Wilson could be closely related, perhaps even sisters. (I have a lot of information on Sidney's husband, Jacob Groninger and their descendants which I will happily share if you find there is a connection and want what I have.) Altogether, the BIOG. ENCY. includes mention of 18 WILSONS, among them George, Henry, H. Latimer, Isaac, James B., John (4), Nathaniel, Robert (3), Samuel, and William (3). If you have a particular interest in one of these please let me know. Since Richard is not listed in this publication, I presume he and wife, Catherine Strouse, must have been mentioned in the Flickinger publication which I used in the Juniata Co. Historical Society Archival Library but which I do not have available now. I am also interested in the surname LOUDON from this area of Pennsylvania. Grace Arlene LOUDON was b. 1876 in Juniata Co. and was married 2/27/1901 in Mifflintown to Noah Hertzler SULOUFF>SULOFF. Soon thereafter they moved to Cleveland OH where Noah became widely known as the engineer in charge of constructing the Cleveland Railroad Terminal Tower Building, the rail line out to the upscale Shaker Heights community, and other railroad projects.
