I think the Jacob Leiter you are interested in was Catherine's brother. My Catherine had a brother Jacob Leiter who was in the Civil War, he was in the Pennsylvania Volunteer's 147th Regiment Company G. My mom has a letter that he wrote to Catherine during the Civil War. She has a letter he wrote to her from Indiana too! She also has a sterescopic view (photo) that you put in the view finder of Jacob Leiter (his residence) and his wife. I have a stack of papers etc. that I need to go through. If I find more information I will be glad to share it with you. My Mom thinks there is more there in the information she gave me. She feels pretty certain that the Jacob Leiter you are researching was Catherine's brother. Hopefully, I will find more information to share with you.
