The Evening Sentinel, Thursday, January 23, 1997 Nellie M. Mouer, 99, of 442 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997 in the Thornwald Home, Carlisle. Born November 18, 1897 in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Sunday Morrison and the widow of Bruce R. Mouer, who died in 1951. A graduate of Carlisle High School, she was retired from the Lancaster New Era newspaper, where she had worked for many years. Aunt Nellie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor in Carlisle was named in her honor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Surviving are a sister, Eleanor Kingsborough of Carlisle and many neices and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Alan D. Mantha officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.
