Perry County Democrat, New Bloomfield, November 27, 1907 Mr. Henry Smith, whose serious illness was noted in this paper last week, died at his home in Newport on Monday. His death resulted from a stroke of paralysis, with which he was stricken while on his way to Sunday school Sunday morning of last week. Mr. Smith was past eighty years of age. For many years he was one of Newport's foremost business men. His death is deeply regretted by a wide circle of friends.
