I have two sources that might help. One was in the Perry County Historians holdings. It was an anniversary book and shame on me I neglected to put the name on the pages I had copied. One section was on Greenwood Township and included facts and folklore of Millerstown area pioneer days. The other is an article by Jerry A. Clouse, founder of the Perry Historians. the article was titled "The German Element in Perry County" and includes the Pfoutz Valley. The article was published in the periodic publication of the Pennsylvania German Society, Der Reggeboge (The Rainbow). I'll have to check what issue it was in. Both give some good all round information of the area and when I get a chance to read them again I'll look for Miller and Troutman.
