I'm still trying to find info on Philip Myers [Sr] b:abt September 15, 1790 d:September 14, 1864. Anything on his parents and or siblings. He and most of my Myers family are buried there. Unknown where he was born,think he and wife Mary Magdalena Shuey moved there with family. Is there anyone who would be able to check with the church officials for available old records? The Evening Sentinel, Carlisle, PA, Wednesday, December 29, 1937 Marriage Morrison--Snyder Chester A. Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Morrison, of Carlisle, R.D. 2 and Mary Kathryn Snyder, of Carlisle, daughter of Mrs. Edward Stum, of Landisburg, were united in marriage, December 24 at 8:30 o'clock at the Church of God Parsonage, 147 Wilson Street, by Rev. C. C. Smith. The ring ceremony was used. The bride was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Floyd Wagner, of Carlisle, and Floyd Wagner was best man. The bridegroom is employed at the Carlisle Tire and Rubber plant. A large group of friends of the young couple expressed their felicitations in the form of an old-fashioned serenading. Later the young couple were honor guests at a large wedding dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. The Evening Sentinel, Carlisle, PA, Monday, January 10, 1938 Two Landisburg Children Die Parents Return From One Funeral to Find Other Child is Dead. Landisburg, Jan. 10.--Two young children, sisters, of this place, were stricken with accute inflamatory rheumatism and died within forth-eight hours. Georgie Lureye Garlin, 18-month-old baby, died Friday, January 7, and was buried Sunday afternoon. When the parents returned home from the funeral, they found Helen Louise, a sister, five years old, lying dead. They are survived by their parents, George D. and Florence Garlin; one sister, Jane Romayne; an aged grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Garlin, and Jas. B. Garlin, an aged grandfather.
